It is 12:41 AM and I'm sitting in my apartment waiting for my Jollibee delivery to come (hello Chickenjoy!). I have Men At Work on pause so that I could work on this blog post first. It's the weekend and it's quiet--it has been a quiet past few weekends, too. What have my weekends become?


I was chatting with some of my friends earlier about how so much has changed in a matter of months. We used to be out every night, nearly every Thursday to Saturday, and sometimes even on Sundays. And those were rough nights, too. We definitely had a phase. Things have slowed down now, and I think tonight was the night we all realized it.


While there was slight panic at the thought of things slowing down, the panic quickly turned into relief as we no longer felt the need to constantly be going out to entertain ourselves. Relaxation was a brand new form of entertainment on its own. A quiet evening by myself is finally enough.


I still do go out every now and then to meet with friends, but the amount of time I spend going out has certainly gone down. Maybe it's a sign of aging--but that always seems to be taken negatively. So, I think it's just a sign that I have definitely found other things to be worth spending my time on now and that's fine. Signs of aging or not.
