When I first started working, I had the hardest time transitioning from my Uni/college student style to a more grown-up one. I know this was/is/will be a case for many since a lot of us are used to comfort dressing. I admit, I haven't completely left that side of me yet and every once in a while, I try to go back to my college "uniform" and just add a few things to make it workplace appropriate.


I went to DLSU and back at the University, we didn't have a uniform so we were almost free to wear anything we want. We only had a dress code we had to follow, otherwise we'd be reprimanded and/or sanctioned by the Disciplinary Officer (DO).


My college uniform then was composed of a relaxed top and pants--sometimes, a skirt that was long enough. So I took that same formula with me today for work and just added and adjusted a few of the pieces to make it more "mature".

- Instead of a slouchy cardigan, I went for a more structured cream toned blazer.
- Toned down the casualness of the colored cropped pants by wearing classic black pumps.
- A lace turtle neck top to finish off the look, to add romance and flare to an otherwise just plain office look.

And that's it!
