I have been extra busy this week, always going home late and getting up early. Surprisingly enough, I survived because of monotasking. Anyone else still familiar with how to monotask? While multi-tasking seems largely practiced nowadays, I read an article that you can actually get more things done with monotasking.
Basically, you list down or think about all of the things you need to accomplish and arrange them by urgency. Focus on one task at a time and set a deadline for yourself to finish each task. Besides the accomplished feeling you get after crossing out each task, you can actually end up with better quality results because you gave your full attention to each one rather than half-heartedly doing everything at the same time.
As I dress according to my mood, you will also notice that the outfit above combines only two colors - gray and white, nothing too straining on the eyes. It's a quick and easy combination to pull off if you're looking to put together an outfit effortlessly without looking sloppy.
So whenever I start to dress all color-coordinated, it's probably because I'm stressing out. It's my easy way out for thinking about an outfit. Also, I try to remember to monotask whenever I start to freak out due to the amount of work piling up. You have no idea how much it has kept me sane! Also, quality over quantity, as much as possible ;)
I still multi-task frequently, but whenever possible, I switch back to monotasking, too.
