Last June 3rd, I had the privilege to yet again witness the unveiling of an installment of the Freeway ♥ Art collectors' series. To learn more about this great initiative of Freeway to pay tribute to Filipino artists, you can look through my post about their feature on Vicente Manansala.
This time around, Freeway features National Artist for Music, Levi Celerio, who has been a great influence and icon of Filipino music. His achievements include writing lyrics for more than 4,000 Filipino folk, Christmas, and love songs, as well as earning the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Film Academy of the Philippines.
I like how Freeway was able to translate Mr. Levi Celerio's art into clothing. Most of the pieces were of galaxy prints, music notes, and a whole lot of smooth curves (which I'm guessing represents the smooth music Mr. Levi Celerio has gifted the Philippines with).
Follow Freeway on Twitter for more updates regarding their Freeway ♥ Art Collectors' Series as well as other collection releases and brand updates.
Be back with a post on what I wore to the event soon! :) By the way, my dad says THANK YOU to everyone who commented on this post and to those who greeted on Twitter/Facebook!
