Sometimes things have a way of working out on their own

Because I had work last 24th and have been too busy the days before that to even sit down and think about/look for something to wear for Christmas eve, I ended up with a template ensemble of a top, skirt and blazer to end up looking effortless but still put together. I would love to have had the chance to be more dressy, but my schedule just didn't allow for much "contemplating" and my sleep was bare of dreams of outfits and eureka! moments.

Coincidentally, though, my brothers and I somehow matched with the hints of blue and all. So I guess the whole lack of preparation worked on our part somehow! :) Still, I will definitely amp it up for New Year's Eve just because I want to make up for what I had hoped to be a bongga outfit. Heehee.

Just thankful that this sheer blue top from Sophie (a friend from New Zealand who's here for a visit) came just in time! At least I had a "central piece" to work the rest of the outfit around. ;) Isn't it just cute?

It's mom's birthday and I should be getting some rest but I've got the AVP to finish (still), so I'll go ahead now. :)
